ROBERT GLAZER and GILDA GLAZER have been internationally acclaimed as “America’s Premiere Viola-Piano Duo.”  Appearances on four continents as recitalists and orchestral soloists, as well as chamber music artists, attest to their exceptional popularity.  In addition to performing the classics, they have had an important influence on contemporary literature for viola and piano.  They have closely collaborated with such important composers as Easley Blackwood, David Amram, David Epstein, and Leo Ornstein.  The Glazer Duo has been invited to perform and hold master classes at the major music festivals in the country including Tanglewood, Aspen, and Brevard.  Collectively and individually they have appeared with such conductors as Ozawa, Solti, Previn, Slatkin, Giulini, Reiner, and Stokowski.  Recording on the Centaur label, the Glazer Duo’s newest release is an album of 20th Century works for viola and piano
