The Glazer Duo has been internationally acclaimed as “America’s Premier Viola-Piano Duo.” Appearances on four continents as recitalists and orchestral soloists, as well as chamber music artists, attest to their exceptional popularity. In addition to performing the classics, they have had an important influence on contemporary literature for viola and piano. Their close collaborations with such significant composers as Morton Gould, Easley Blackwood, Alan Shulman, David Amram, David Epstein and Leo Ornstein have enriched the literature.
The Duo performs chamber music with such distinguished colleagues as the Mendelssohn, Manhattan and Fine Arts Quartets, as well as members of the Juilliard and Guarneri Quartets. They are also members of the New York Piano Quartet, appearing regularly at Lincoln Center, Bargemusic and other leading concert venues.
The Glazer Duo has been invited to perform and hold master classes at Tanglewood, Aspen, Ravinia and Brevard Music Festivals. They also direct the Bergen Festival and Co-direct the New England Festival of Music. They are husband and wife.
